Today our movie making group went to the museum to see the finals of I AM MAKING MOVIES COMPETITION.
Ronnie from "What Now" was there and Erin Simpson was there as well. I got both their signatures.
Our movie got runners up 2nd place.

Today we didn't do much. I had a maths workshop and it was fun because we did a tally. We got to go to other year 5 classes and do a tally.
When we were doing our special project we couldnt do it because people were annoying us and making noises. The PE shed was closed
so we played busted.

Today lots of people went to athletics cluster I didn't. Miss McCauley said that our movie making group got short listed for the I am Making Movies Cometition
in the top 23 of new zealands movies. We were competing against year 8 students. We get to go to a night at the museum where they show every single finalists movie.
Ronnie from what now will be there and Erin from the erin simpson show will be there. It goes from 6 till 8 pm. I'm so excited.

Today at school from 1:30-2:30 there was a twitter chat. I had to be the moderator so I asked four questions in an hour and everyone answered them and I had to answer back. I got lots of answers. I used my own account. It was so fun.

All day I was looking forward to doing the tweet deck. From 1:30-2:30 we just did non-stop tweeting. I was full on and fun.
So I guy called Pascall Dresse put out a whole lot of questions and we had to answer them. We also had to answer other peoples answers.

Today I played the hat game in the morning. it's where you grab hats off other people and put it in your base for five seconds and you get 1 point.
Halfway through the day we got a reliever. At lunch I played the hat game again. At assembly I got say say about calender art in front of the whole school.I felt proud I did it, I was really nervous.
I read over 30 pages of my book today.

Today we had to do a ticket for the movies. My group printed it of on blue coloured paper. We photo copied it black and whited.
It looks really good. We numbered 130 of them and chopped them with the gillotene.

Today our class went down to the village for the last day of filming. Our group has already finshed filming so we don't need to do anything. Instead we continued on with adverising. I made a ticket and one more poster. It looks really good. Miss McCauley taught us a game of elastics. I could do it really well. It is a warm up for high jump.

Today the first week of term was a really fun day because all we did was finish our movie. Not much to talk about. So we did our credits and did voice overs.Since Hunter is away I had to do Olivers voice. Kalib did the presenter and Ash. We also started advertising our movies around the school. I've made a poster and Kalib is making tickets and an Administration form.

Today Browns Bay came to watch our production on young Hercules. It was only the Browns Bay production people who came. They filled up so many seats because there were 260 of them. I was the very first time we had done it in front of lots of people. After our production had finished it was lunch time. I ate my lunch and played handball with Alexander,Carlos and Wade. I had lots of fun Playing.

Today the warriors movie making group started their filming. Our set looks great. Our movie is about a boat race. It is coming along really well. Today one of our group members wasn’t here because he was at x country so we had to do it ourselves without him. It takes alot of painting our animation box before we start. Yesterday we had to black out the room we could work in so we got a heatlamp and put that over our set. The reason why we blacked out the room was because then there wouldn’t be any shadows in the dark.

Today I went to school a little bit tired. I played on the ipads. The first thing I did this morning was do and inerview with Sithumina on what makes a Quality Comment. Here is the video:
After that I had a Maths Workshop. We had to do equations like 10.5 + 5.9= 16.4 and 8.7 - 18.9= 10.2. We also had multiplication 3 x 4.5= 13.5. I did some fantastic calendar art on what I like, the pictures were of the Sky Tower, Apple logo, Waves, New Zealand, Diary of a Wimpy kid Cartoon drawing and a strawberry icecream.

The first thing today on my ILP was Maths Workshop. We learnt about sharing chocolate bars amoungst number of people. Our chocolate bars were made of 10 bits. So we had questions like 5 ÷ 4 so what you did was there would be 4 people and 5 bars so you had to divide 5 bars into four people equally. The answer would be 1.2 beacause everyone would get one chocolate bar and two pieces. After the Maths workshop I had Literacy workshop we started our storyboards for our movie competition. We are half way through doing our storyboard with 800 frames and 5 scenes. For P.E. we played ghostball. It was Motuhie and Waiheke vs Rakino and Kawau. Motuhie and Waihecke won because we had to go to sudden death so if you got out you were out for the rest of the game.

Today I got dropped off at school on the drop off. I strode into class feeling really cold. Luckily the heater was on, that warmed me up. Ms Templin was our teacher for today. For our early work I did the one about a Tsunami frozen over New York. After early work we went on with our ILP. I read my book for the big hour block and then suddenly the fitness music went. I was going to skipping circuits , but instead we went to Aerobics since it was too cold outside. At Aerobics I hung out at the back with all my friends. At morning tea I played on the tornado with Dylan and Sithumina. In the middle block we read out our movie making stories. At lunch I played on the spinning tornado again. At Assembly I got awarded a Distinction in ICAS Writing. I felt proud of myself.

After that I marked the maths test. Then I worked with my movie making group and did part of our story. After that we did fitness. which was Aerobics Then it was morning tea, i played hand ba|| it was fun as. After that the noisy be|| rang. I dashed into class. Well today was a fantastic day because we got to start making a 30 second film using I CAN ANIMATE it is so fun to use. Our groups film was called Snoopys expierience in the water. Woooaaaahhhhh! I think im getting a bit ahead of myself. Before filming, things take a lot of hard work to get the story and storyboard ready. Our group isn't even finished our storyboard yet, we're probably only half way through it. In ou
r group we have; David, Amily, Fiona, Bridget and I. We work really well as a group. We start our fun day of filming on Thursday. In our film we should have 375 frames, for 1 second we should have 12 frames, that show it takes a long time to make an animation. You can't move the figure to much otherwise it will turn out to be boring and jiggly.

I came to school really nervous because of X-Country, the X-Country races were after morning tea. All the year 3,4,5 and 6 students went down to the bottom court. It was a long wait untill I raced because each race was about 15 minutes. First the year 3 girls raced, then the year 3 boys raced after that the year 4 girls raced, 15 minutes later the year four boys went, the year five girls then raced and while that was happening I was warming up. It was finally our turn to race. all the year 5 boys lined up ready to go. READY SET GO!!! We raced off like cheetahs zoooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started running the first lap coming about 7th when my knee clicked and I started dropping back to about 11th I carried on in that position for about half of the lap. But in the finishing streak two people overtook me and I came 13th. I was so dissapointed. I felt terrible because I clicked my knee.

I woke up all excited today because I was going to Rosedale park for cluster hockey. It was extremely fun. First we played murrays bay That was our very best game because we won 10-1, which was a spectacular win. We took a break ate some food and watched the girls play. The girls won only one game against browns bay. Now it was time for my team to play pinehurst, that was a tough and dissapointing game. We lost 4-2. But pinehurst are top of the A-Grade so we were always the underdogs. We finished that game and watched Murrays Bay play Browns Bay. Murrays Bay won 4-0. I then bought a strawberry milk from the shop inside. We were just warming up when the buzzer sounded for our game against browns bay. We were taking so many shots at goal it wasn't funny. But we just couldn't score. Browns Bay got the ball dribbled up and just hit the ball in. It should of been a free hit to us because it hit a Browns Bay persons foot. But it was the refs mistake. Today has been really cool because our class went down to the muddy field to watch the year ones and two's race their X Country. It was actually quite good to watch. the races were fascinating to watch because some were extremely close, and some the People were miles apart. I didn't see a single person not finishing the race. As our class walked back to the classroom our feet squelchein the mud. I had to take my shoes of my shoes off because my feet were so much covered in mud.

Today has been quite fun because in the morning I played hand ball with Ronan. The ILP thing was Novel Reading. I read Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters. It is a good book! 2day after the notices I had to go straight to ICAS sciene, I think I got most of them right. We got 45 minutes but I finished in 30 but I went back through the ones I thought were hard. The ICAS was actually quite fun.When I got back I went straight to fitness. After that I did my spelling words. I got 100% correct.

When I got to school this morning I played a fantastic game of basketball. When we dashed back into class we talked a little bit about our speech. I have chosen this speech: That vacations should be at least 6 weeks long. The class had to come up with lots of good ideas. We have to write a very persuasive speech, we paused the writing and Miss McCauley said we have to do our follow up after fitness, we had already put that in our ILP. I went to Aerobics since it is Wednesday. At morning tea I had another awesome playtime of basketball, I scored heaps, I also played a little bit of touch rugby with Taahiers ball. I can't wait 'till lunch because I'm going to play a cool game of basketball again, maybe a bit of touch rugby aswell.

At school today we had a different teacher. I got to school at 8:30am. The bell rang and everyone raced back to class. I started the day with our new activity of early work, the first question was list 20 foods you would never have in a school lunch and the next question was list 10 activities that you could never do in Antarctica. These are some ideas I put for list 20 foods I would never have in a school lunch; Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli and Fish Cakes These are the ones I put for 10 activities you could never do in Antarctica; Racing Car Driving, Texting and Side stepping. Just after that we just went on with our usual ILP. At morning tea and lunch I played Basketball since I brang my new ball.

Today it was very busy in Room 14. First we counted out how much money we had. Georgie had the most at $108 and I had the least at 60c. The money activity was so fun. Then I did maths independent and I got heaps done - 1 and a 1/2 worksheets. After that it was time for fitness. Aerobics was really fun.

Room 14 started thier day with practicing for assembly. After morning tea everyone went to pull apart phones tv's and cameras. I went into the phones group. It was spectacular. I really enjoyed it because we got to pull out this part that looked like a green city. It looked like this:

We also opened up a landline phone it looked pretty much the same. By the way after lunch it was time for assembly our class (room 14) was sharing. Now we did not do a normal assembly because we got to share an awesome as movie. And a premiere. It was a fun, busy, full on day.

Today it is mothers day and I made fejoa pikelets. I came up with the idea of putting fejoa in. They were so nice. Mum said she had a great day. After that we went to my nana's apartment. I watched TV and had lunch there. Basketball practice was at 4:30 and that was fun. That was fun.

Today Mrs Hohia has been teaching us, firs it was really awesome because we got to do a maths scavenger hunt. It wasn't really a scavenger hunt because we had to find out stuff around the school. It was all about measurement. After that we did a reading session. I enjoyed the reading session because we got to read most of it in our head.

In the morning today I played forceback. There was more people than I thought there would be. The bell rang and we went into our class. We then went to the ICT. Everyone is excited about boing home early today. At morning tea I played Touch Rugby. Our team lost. I scored a drop goal and a try. Drop kicks are not hard at all when you get the hang of it.After morning tea I did creative writing, I started a story about a boy playing cricket it will soon be on my Writing Page.

Today I played touch in the morning. It was Carlos and I vs About 5 other people. I scored 2 tries and Carlos scored 1. I was conversion kicker. And got 3/3 over. Rm 14 first started with I.C.T. We had to do a comment on someone's wiki. I commented on other classe's wiki's. And our classe's wikis. In ILP I started with creative writing. I wrote a story called computer traveler. It is on my Writing Page. I am now booked in for a computer.

Today we filled in our ILP sheets. At music we did some singing, then we played on the xylophone. We played a really cool song, and we got videoed on a flip mino. At morning tea I played touch rugby, I was one inch away from scoring a drop goal. After morning tea I was in a reading workshop. We filled in a sheet for our portfolios. At lunch time I played tag, well ball tag with Dylan, Sithumina , and Samuel.

At school today we did a maths test called IKAN. I didn't really enjoy it, but I think I did pretty well. I got eleven wrong. There were different stages to it. Stage one-three were pretty easy but then it got harder and harder ext. After that we went to Mr Van Beuskoms to know about jobs, because their class are going to camp and we have to do their jobs for them. I am on newsletters for room's 1-4 and room 23, I am also on wet day monitor for room 4. At lunch time I got a slushy even though it's not Friday. I got a coke one. It was really nice.s

Today room 14 started a special project. Which is a project that we are interested in and find out information about it.We can do a model aswell. I am going to plan a model of a spitfire, and then make it. Not to scale. At morning tea I played an exiting game of forceback, still with a sprained thumb. I scored three or four times. At school today room 14 all did a recount about camp. It was quite easy. I didn't get through it though. It was really long and filled with lots of words. At morning tea we put on Game Plan, but I didn't watch it. Instead I played a connect four game with Dylan. At lunch time I played force back one handed because I sprained my thumb. I still did really well at the game. Today I spent practically all day packing. I independently started when I woke up. When my mum and dad woke up they said wow! great job of packing, but you put it in the wrong bag. I was so annoyed. I then realised why, because there wasn't enough room. Lucky I'd labelled everything so it wasn't that bad, but bad enough! After I'd done that we went to the museum. It was really fascinating seeing all the cool stuff there. Obviously we went to the volcano room where we saw the eruption. It really felt like it was real. We got back from the museum and went to Basketball practice. That was really fun.

Today was the swimming cluster. I was participating, only in the relay though. When I got to the leisure centre I was excited and nervous at the same time. It was a long wait, but at least we had some entertainment of watching the swimmers. The relays were last so our race, the year 5 boys relay was 3rd to last. Sadly our relay team came 4th which disappointingly means last, in the relays that is. At least me and probably our team mates enjoyed the race, that's the main thing. At the end of the day it was time for the judges to announce the winners. In 4th place...... Pinehill School. In 3rd place...... Pinehurst School. Runners-Up..... Murrays Bay. And obviously in 1st place Brows Bay. At least we can try again next year. I Better get practising.

Today room fourteen did their usual I.L.P. At morning tea I played catch with Wade, Carlos and Taahier. At lunch time I played in the sandpit and got buried and got sand put down my back. It was fun. At assembly, my brother got the shield for room 13. At the writing workshop we read about someone's camp diary and we answered some questions about it.

At school we just did a first aid training course for camp. I thought it was a really good idea because if we didn't do it what if something happened, we wouldn't know what to do. Did you know that if someone is lying unconscious on their back, they go all floppy and they can choke on their own tongue. So we learnt how to put them into a safe position. We also learnt if someone cuts themselves with a knife, they have to raise their hand and create pressure on it.

Today we had our spelling test and Miss McCauley put up something on the screen to tell the class how they were doing. Most of the class got 10/10, I got 10/10. In the morning today we did an e-astle maths test. I though I did really well. Mrs Christiansen did it with us. Miss McCauley told us to do a little bit of work in our camp books, what we were looking forward to doing and what you're a bit scared about. It was then time to go to fitness Moutuhie was on Aerobics.

It was a fun day at school today. First we did a star reading test, my total for it was 38/50. We then heard from Miss McCauley a little bit about our camp journals. At lunch I practice my bowling for cricket, soon alot of other boys came along and then we played a proper game. A tiring end of the day playing ghostball with room ten.

year four boys went, the year five girls then raced and while that was happening I was warming up. It was finally our turn to race. all the year 5 boys lined up ready to go.
READY SET GO!!! We raced off like cheetahs zoooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started running the first lap coming about 7th when my knee clicked and I started dropping back to about 11th
I carried on in that position for about half of the lap. But in the finishing streak two people overtook me and I came 13th. I was so dissapointed. I felt terrible because I clicked my knee.

I woke up all excited today because I was going to Rosedale park for cluster hockey. It was extremely fun. First we played murrays bayThat was our very best game because we won 10-1, which was a spectacular win. We took a break ate some food and watched the girls play.
The girls won only one game against browns bay. Now it was time for my team to play pinehurst, that was a tough and dissapointing game.
We lost 4-2. But pinehurst are top of the A-Grade so we were always the underdogs. We finished that game and watched Murrays Bay play
Browns Bay. Murrays Bay won 4-0. I then bought a strawberry milk from the shop inside. We were just warming up when the buzzer sounded
for our game against browns bay. We were taking so many shots at goal it wasn't funny. But we just couldn't score. Browns Bay got the ball dribbled up and just hit the ball in. It should of been a free hit to us because it hit a Browns Bay persons foot. But it was the refs mistake.

Today has been really cool because our class went down to the muddy field to watch the year ones and two's race their X Country.It was actually quite good to watch. the races were fascinating to watch because some were extremely close, and some the
People were miles apart. I didn't see a single person not finishing the race. As our class walked back to the classroom our feet squelchein the mud. I had to take my shoes of my shoes off
because my feet were so much covered in mud.

Today has been quite fun because in the morning I played hand ball with Ronan. The ILP thing was Novel Reading. I read Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters. It is a good book! 2day after the notices I had to go straight to ICAS sciene, I think I got most of them right. We got 45 minutes but I finished in 30but I went back through the ones I thought were hard. The ICAS was actually quite fun.When I got back I went straight to fitness.
After that I did my spelling words. I got 100% correct.

When I got to school this morning I played a fantastic game of basketball. When we dashed back into class we talked a little bit about our speech. I have chosen this speech: That vacations should be at least 6 weeks long. The class had to come up with lots of good ideas. We have to write a very persuasive speech, we paused the writing and Miss McCauley said we have to do our follow up after fitness, we had already put that in our ILP. I went to Aerobics since it is Wednesday. At morning tea I had another awesome playtime of basketball, I scored heaps, I also played a little bit of touch rugby with Taahiers ball. I can't wait 'till lunch because I'm going to play a cool game of basketball again, maybe a bit of touch rugby aswell.29th May 2012
At school today we had a different teacher. I got to school at 8:30am. The bell rang and everyone raced back to class.I started the day with our new activity of early work, the first question was list 20 foods you would never have in a school lunch
and the next question was list 10 activities that you could never do in Antarctica. These are some ideas I put for list 20 foods I would never have in a school lunch; Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli and Fish Cakes

Just after that we just went on with our usual ILP. At morning tea and lunch I played Basketball since I brang my new ball.

Today it was very busy in Room 14. First we counted out how much money we had. Georgie had the mostat $108 and I had the least at 60c. The money activity was so fun. Then I did maths independent and I got heaps done - 1 and a 1/2 worksheets.
After that it was time for fitness. Aerobics was really fun.

Room 14 started thier day with practicing for assembly. After morning tea everyone went to pull apart phones tv's and cameras.I went into the phones group. It was spectacular. I really enjoyed it because we got to pull out this part that looked like a green city.

We also opened up a landline phone it looked pretty much the same.
By the way after lunch it was time for assembly our class (room 14) was sharing. Now we did not do a normal assembly because we got to share an awesome as movie. And a premiere. It was a fun, busy, full on day.

Today it is mothers day and I made fejoa pikelets. I came up with the idea of putting fejoa in. They were so nice.Mum said she had a great day.
After that we went to my nana's apartment. I watched TV and had lunch there.
Basketball practice was at 4:30 and that was fun. That was fun.

Today Mrs Hohia has been teaching us, firs it was really awesome because we got to do a maths scavenger hunt. It wasn't really a scavenger hunt because we had to find out stuff around the school. It was all about measurement. After that we did a reading session. I enjoyed the reading session because we got to read most of it in our head.3rd April 2012
In the morning today I played forceback. There was more people than I thought there would be.The bell rang and we went into our class. We then went to the ICT. Everyone is excited about boing home early today.
At morning tea I played Touch Rugby. Our team lost. I scored a drop goal and a try. Drop kicks are not hard at all when you get the hang of it.After morning tea I did creative writing, I started a story about a boy playing cricket it will soon be on my Writing Page.

Today I played touch in the morning. It was Carlos and I vs About 5 other people.I scored 2 tries and Carlos scored 1. I was conversion kicker. And got 3/3 over.
Rm 14 first started with I.C.T. We had to do a comment on someone's wiki. I commented on other classe's wiki's. And our classe's wikis. In ILP I started with creative writing. I wrote a story called computer traveler.
It is on my Writing Page. I am now booked in for a computer.

Today we filled in our ILP sheets. At music we did some singing, then we played on the xylophone. We played a really cool song, and we got videoed on a flip mino. At morning tea I played touch rugby, I was one inch away from scoring a drop goal. After morning tea I was in a reading workshop. We filled in a sheet for our portfolios. At school today we did a maths test called IKAN. I didn't really enjoy it, but I think I did pretty well. I got eleven wrong. There were different stages to it.Stage one-three were pretty easy but then it got harder and harder ext. After that we went to Mr Van Beuskoms to know about jobs, because their class are going to camp and we have to do their jobs for them. I am on newsletters for room's 1-4 and room 23, I am also on wet day monitor for room 4.
At lunch time I got a slushy even though it's not Friday. I got a coke one. It was really nice.s

Today room 14 started a special project. Which is a project that we are interested in and find out information about it.We can do a model aswell. I am going to plan a model of a spitfire, and then make it. Not to scale.At morning tea I played an exiting game of forceback, still with a sprained thumb. I scored three or four times.
When we got back to class we were waiting for Mr Canain to come in. He is about to tell us a little bit more about
technology.

At school today room 14 all did a recount about camp. It was quite easy. I didn't get through it though. It was really long and filled with lots of words.At morning tea we put on Game Plan, but I didn't watch it. Instead I played a connect four game with Dylan. At lunch time I played force back one handed because I sprained my thumb. I still did really well at the game. Today I spent practically all day packing. I independently started when I woke up. When my mum and dad woke up they said wow! great job of packing, but you put it in the wrong bag. I was so annoyed. I then realised why, because there wasn't enough room. Lucky I'd labelled everything so it wasn't that bad, but bad enough!After I'd done that we went to the museum. It was really fascinating seeing all the cool stuff there. Obviously we went to the volcano room where we saw the eruption. It really felt like it was real. We got back from the museum and went to Basketball practice. That was really fun.

Today was the swimming cluster. I was participating, only in the relay though. When I got to the leisure centre I was excited and nervous at the same time. It was a long wait, but at least we had some entertainment of watching the swimmers. The relays were last so our race, the year 5 boys relay was 3rd to last. Sadly our relay team came 4th which disappointingly means last, in the relays that is. At least me and probably our team mates enjoyed the race, that's the main thing. At the end of the day it was time for the judges to announce the winners. In 4th place...... Pinehill School. In 3rd place...... Pinehurst School. Runners-Up..... Murrays Bay. And obviously in 1st place Brows Bay. At least we can try again next year. I Better get practising.6th March 2012
Today room fourteen did their usual I.L.P. At morning tea I played catch with Wade, Carlos and Taahier. At lunch time I played in the sandpit and got buried and got sand put down my back. It was fun. At assembly, my brother got the shield for room 13. At the writing workshop we read about someone's camp diary and we answered some questions about it.4th March 2012
At school we just did a first aid training course for camp. I thought it was a really good idea because if we didn't do it what if something happened, we wouldn't know what to do.Did you know that if someone is lying unconscious on their back, they go all floppy and they can choke on their own tongue. So we learnt how to put them into a safe position.
We also learnt if someone cuts themselves with a knife, they have to raise their hand and create pressure on it.

In the morning today we did an e-astle maths test. I though I did really well. Mrs Christiansen did it with us.Miss McCauley told us to do a little bit of work in our camp books, what we were looking forward to doing and what you're a bit scared about.

It was a fun day at school today. First we did a star reading test, my total for it was 38/50.We then heard from Miss McCauley a little bit about our camp journals.
At lunch I practice my bowling for cricket, soon alot of other boys came along and then we played a proper game.
